Comment:

Capsaicin stimulates digestion - particularly production of hydrochloric acid. The latter is essential to ionize minerals and hydrolyze protein fibre into chains of amino acids (peptides) that are then easily split into individual amino acids that are essential for the transport of minerals (as neutral amino acid mineral chelates) from the small intestine into the blood. Lack of HCL stimulates over production of the pancreatic enzyme trypsin to the point the panaceas become chronically inflamed and then susceptible to cancer. Those with pancreatitis should supplement with HCL ( 500mgs to 1,500 mgs of Betaine HCL with 100 pepsin) and pancreatic enzymes. If they have lost their gall bladder (gall stones and gall bladder disease is one of the consequences of chronic lack of stomach acid) or if they have gall colic supplementation with HCL, pancreatic enzymes and bile salts is essential. Removing the gall bladder (the symptom) solves nothing and the original problem that cause gall stones and colic will still remain. Removal of the gall bladder is a recipe for further health problems down the road. Gall is essential. The bladder is meant to hold it back until the stomach contents are released into the duodenum. Lack of stomach acid slows digestion and food may lay in the stomach from four to sixteen ours. Setting the stage for fermentation, gas and bloating - caused by bacteria and yeast that would otherwise be inhibited by adequate stomach acid. Inability to digest and absorb fat properly leads to faulty fat metabolism, and increases the potential for stomach and bowel cancer. Another consequence of chronic lack of stomach acid is faulty mineral absorption leading to osteoporosis and the threat of auto immune disease such as asthma, arthritis and allergies. Capsaicin also acts like an antiseptic and can kill the bacteria and yeast whose ferments lead to the symptoms doctors assume are caused by to much HCL and leads to the proliferation of acid neutralizers (Tums, Rolaids, Maalox), acid inhibitors (Tagamet, Pepsid, Zantac) and outright HCL blockers (proton pump inhibitors such as Losec, Prilosec, and the purple pill, Nexium). Chronic use of these drugs can lead to B vitamin deficiencies, mineral deficiencies, gall bladder disease, pancreatitis and auto immune diseases. - CW

A new study suggests that an ingredient in red chili pepper has cancer-fighting properties that prevent or slow the growth of pancreatic cancer tumors implanted in mice. The study found that capsaicin, the "hot" ingredient in red chili pepper, caused pancreatic cancer cells to die through a process called apoptosis. Click link to read more.
