Very interesting indeed... Although not surprising. Just like HRT that was purported to decrease Heart disease when in fact it did the opposite and then turned around and even increased breast Caner to boot. Of course there simply is no interest in safe alternative like the one described in my earlier post: "Vitamin C & Menopause".

RE: "Statin Drugs & Memory Loss": I also found this in relation to statin use and INCREASED breast cancer. "Effect of statins on breast cancer incidence".
The reason this is so interesting is that Pharma has dominated the links under GOOGLE (statins + cancer). They say statin use decreases breast cancer…Hmmm…interesting!

Abstract:
Statins are commonly employed to lower cholesterol. These agents have a theoretical role in chemoprevention through downregulation of Ras, upregulation of p27, and alteration in estrogen levels. We wished to determine if the use of statins had an impact on breast cancer incidence in women who participate in the Sentara Health Plan. A total of 66,843 women over 35 years are included in this analysis. Statin use was identified from pharmacy data available since 5/97. A total of 1512 cases of breast cancer were diagnosed, 273 who were taking statins for a mean of 9.3 months. Of the 8344 women taking statins, 273 developed breast cancer. The median age for women who were taking a statin but did not develop breast is 55.3 years; and is 57.6 years for those who developed breast cancer. The data were analyzed according to age: (Table) These data suggest that young women who are treated with statins may be at increased risk for the development of breast cancer.
